ABOUT ME
Nice to meet you
My research interests are in the area of entrepreneurship and family business. Specifically, I leverage my background in psychology and passion for family science literature to understand how family dynamics influence the management of the family business. I also examine how families develop entrepreneurs across generations, and how next-generation entrepreneurs mobilize their entrepreneurial interests. Although my research uses both quantitative and qualitative methodology, I am particularly passionate about qualitative methods that enable me to dig deeper into a phenomenon and answer “how” and “why” questions.
I have published in Family Business Review and presented at conferences, such as the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, Southern Management Association Conference, and the International Family Enterprise Research Conference. I have also been awarded the 2022-2023 Social Sciences Human Research Council (SSRHC) Doctoral Fellowship Award for my dissertation focusing on transgenerational entrepreneurship within and across generations of entrepreneurial families.
I believe in the importance of disseminating research to business owners and have done so by, for instance, participating in a YouTube Webinar and Spotify Podcast.

When I'm not working on my research, I love walking the nearby outdoor trails, playing board games with friends, and cooking up a storm for my cherished friends and family.
